China K Visa-specific questions.
What is the China K Visa?
A new visa class launched in October 2025 for foreign STEM-degree holders and researchers. It enables multiple-entry stays without an in-country employer sponsor.
Why does the K Visa need its own photo?
It uses the standard 33×48 mm Chinese passport spec, but the online application portal validates against a stricter head-position rule. Photos that pass the regular CVASC check have been rejected for K Visa — our spec accounts for the new validation.
Is the K Visa photo different from a normal China visa photo?
Same physical dimensions, stricter head-crop tolerance. We use a tighter head-position rule when you select K Visa.
Background color?
Plain white. No exceptions.
